Diaspora held a rally yesterday, Thursday, 20th February, 2014 outside Nigerian
High Commission, London, to protest the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act signed into law
by President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to them, they had to come together to say No to
this atrocious law and its blatant violation of their human rights. They also
delivered a protest letter to the Nigerian High Commissioner. In the spirit of

Defending their right against people who use the bible to
judge them, the coordinator of the protest Davis Mac-Iyalla said:
The African church must open its mind to honest conversations. The African bishops need to stop doing the talking and start listening to the LGBT people.
